Celebrate spring and support land preservation at the 28th Annual Art Auction

Spring in Adams County is always a beautiful reminder of why land preservation matters. As the winter browns fade into the soft greens of budding trees and the vibrant yellows of daffodils, it’s hard not to feel grateful for the natural beauty that surrounds us — and inspired to protect it for future generations.

This year is extra special as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Land Conservancy of Adams County with our annual Art Auction. The auction has become a cherished tradition, helping us raise essential funds each year to continue protecting the farmland, woodlands, and rural character of Adams County. The Land Conservancy of Adams County is an accredited, member-supported, 501(c)(3) nonprofit land trust — and every dollar raised from the Art Auction directly supports land preservation efforts right here in our community.

We’re excited to hold the auction at the Adams County Arts Council again this year! The event kicks off with a First Friday wine and cheese reception on April 4th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet the talented artists who so generously donate their work to support our mission. The art will remain on display in the Arts Council’s main gallery through the close of the auction on Tuesday, April 22nd. Once again, bidding will be hosted online through Biddingowl.com, making it easy to participate from anywhere.

We’re also hosting a luncheon at the Arts Council on Thursday, April 10th at noon — a perfect chance to enjoy a delicious catered meal and take a closer look at the incredible artwork available for auction. Tickets are $20 per person, and seating is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot by April 4th!

Finally, don’t miss the End-of-Auction Party on Tuesday, April 22nd. It’s your last chance to place a bid and take home a piece of local art. Winning bidders can settle up and take their artwork home that evening.

This event wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our local artists and the support of this incredible community. Your participation helps us continue our work to protect the lands and natural beauty of Adams County for generations to come.

To reserve a spot at the luncheon or learn more about the auction, contact the Land Conservancy of Adams County at 717-334-2828 or visit PreserveAdams.org. Thank you for your continued support — we hope to see you there!
