“I’m reminded of that old adage about trees and shade—the one that says the true meaning of life is to plant trees under whose shade you do not expect to sit. Protecting the county’s orchards, woodlands, and open meadows … its streams and ponds … its deer, turkey, and songbird habitats … its family farms large and small …. all in perpetuity … if that’s not planting a tree for future generations to enjoy, what is?”
