Daniel Lady Farm

Sunday, September 13 @ 4 pm

As always, this family-friendly event will include our traditional potluck dinner - bring a dish to share and your own place settings. The Land Conservancy will provide delicious Kennie’s Fried Chicken, Ellen’s baked beans, water, tea, lemonade, tables, chairs, and plenty of community spirit.

We are looking for sponsors to cover expenses associated with the picnic. If you’d like to sponsor the tables, chairs, tent, etc. please indicate it on your RSVP. You can also call the office directly at 717-334-2828.

Join us for the 2026 Summer Picnic

The historic Daniel Lady Farm served as Johnson's Headquarters and then a Confederate field hospital during the Battle of Gettysburg. In 2005, the Land Conservancy worked with the Gettysburg Battlefield Preservation Association to preserve the Daniel Lady farm. This easement protects over 145 acres of gorgeous Adams County countryside and an preserves an integral piece of Civil War history forever.

The farmhouse and barn will be available to explore for guests of the picnic. Wagon tours of the property will run throughout the picnic so you can experience the landscape from many different vantage points.

This is a unique opportunity to explore and appreciate this beautifully preserved piece of Gettysburg history. So, mark your calendars and RSVP today!
